WE ARE ONE

Last night i finished reading a novel "2 States" by one of the most witty Indian writer Mr.Chetan Bhagat. The novel was based on a love story of two lovebirds who belonged to different states..different religion...different culture...different family backgrounds yet one country i.e INDIA.They were madly in love with each other. The story revolves around the ups and downs of their love life and dominance of their families in their relationship. They were striving hard to make their parents understand their love. But according to the parents this union of a punjabi lad with a tamilian brahmin was not acceptable .Those social glitches and firm boundaries of egos were too hard to crack. The guys didnt wanted to elope as they wanted their families to share their happiness....but it seemed like an unfulfilled scary dream.. still they were hopeful.

They were hopeful for their love....for the trust they shared....and the story goes on ..and at last the true love won every one's heart.............
"LOVE IS NOT FINDING SOMEONE TO LIVE WITH.....ITS FINDING SOMEONE YOU CANT LIVE WITHOUT"

But still i am wondering ....i am curious that till how many ages we have to remain divided by these religious customs and egoistic thoughts. That couple was lucky that somehow they managed everything but i dont think that luck shine with every lifeline.....There are so many peoples who are unable to cross the religious and cultural boundaries though they know that these boundaries are made by themselves only.
As per our geographical map,India is extended from Kashmir to Kanyakumari and from Gujrat to Arunachal Pradesh....but for 70% of our denizens ....India is only within the area they live....Though it is known that there are 31 states in India yet 70% of our population believe that India is divided into 31 parts having different cultures and customs. But they just forget that the independence was not achieved by the punjabis alone.....it was not achieved by the marathis alone...it was not gained by tamilians alone...and neither it was only the hard work of only assamese.......It was a unforgettable collaboration of all the INDIANS....It was a joint venture of the whole nation.......They fought for each other...because they loved each other....they realized that no traditional differences will deprive them for being ONE COUNTRY...ONE INDIA.
Today on the 61st republic of INDIA ........We should take pledge that....
with
31 States
1618 languages
6400 castes
6 religions
6 ethnic groups
29 Major festival
we are 1 country
BE PROUD TO BE AN INDIAN........

HAPPY REPUBLIC DAY
